Amor Bonito

Nono (Marco Antonio Orellana) and Jam-V (Jorge Armando Martínez Valeriano) met in 1995 when both were students at the same school in Honduras and both were pursuing the same girl. She left Nono for Jam-V. The heartbreak led to a friendship. The friendship led to music. They called the group Los Bohemios del Reggaetón and released their debut album, Rolitas Reggae, in 2006. The name was chosen to evoke a generation caught between eras, at home in the sounds of the past and the present alike.

Their catalog mixes reggae, pop latino, cumbia, and reggaeton. Their songs return often to the same terrain: heartbreak, drinking, and the party on the other side of both. Josh DiBrasco, a singer from San Pedro Sula, had already appeared with Los Bohemios on “Borracho de Amor.” At the ten-year mark of their career, Los Bohemios reached back out to him for something new.

“Amor Bonito” (Beautiful Love) was produced by Abel Didit with mix and mastering by Sebastián de Peyrecave, a Honduran Grammy Latino winner. The video, directed by André Anchecta and shot at Casa Quinchón in Tegucigalpa, features models Nicole Corrales and Sebastián Rolón, who were a real-life couple at the time of filming. Released in September 2017, the song blends pop, reggaeton, vallenato, and dance. It was re-released on streaming platforms in January 2021.
