The Trip

Still Corners

Still Corners are a London-based duo — Tessa Murray and Greg Hughes — making dream pop that draws on 1960s French pop, shoegaze, and slow-dissolve Americana that feels more imagined than remembered.

The Trip, from their 2011 debut, is their most immediately beguiling track: Murray's voice floating over reverb and slow rhythm, the whole thing feeling like a memory of a drive you may not have taken.

Still Corners have continued recording, their work growing more confident with each release. The early records retain a particular quality of suspended time that is harder to manufacture than it looks.

"Still Corners make music that sounds like the inside of a daydream."
